Darrell  Alder

Darrell Alder, Funeral Director

Darrell is a licensed funeral director, having began a full time career in the funeral home industry in 2003. Darrell is a Baptist minister and has served as Pastor of several churches in East Tennessee. He currently is the Pastor at Midtown Missionary Baptist Church. He and his wife Susan reside in Morristown and have two sons, Matthew and Tyler and five grandchildren Allyssa, Spencer, Kasen, Brenley, and Cade. Darrell currently serves as manager of Alder Funeral Home


Tyler Alder

Tyler Alder, Funeral Director/Embalmer/Burial Insurance

Tyler is a 2005 graduate of Morristown East High School, and a 2008 graduate of Jefferson State Community College, Birmingham, AL with a degree in Funeral Service Education. He also obtained his B.B.A. degree from King University in 2015. Not only a funeral director and embalmer, Tyler helps families with pre-arrangements. He is married to Jessie Wilder Alder and they have triplets - Kasen, Brenley, and Cade. He is a member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church where he serves as Sunday School teacher of the College and Career Class.


Jessie Alder L.C.S.W.

Jessie Alder L.C.S.W., Grief Couselor

Jessie Alder, L.C.S.W. is our grief couselor at Alder Funeral Home. Jessie is a graduate of The University of Tennessee College of Social Work having obtained a Master's degree. She is married to Tyler Alder and has triplets - Kasen, Brenley, and Cade. Jessie has served the community in social work for over 5 years. Currently she is conducting free grief couseling, both individual and group, to the community. Jessie has a heart to serve individuals through difficult times. She is a member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church and helps with the College and Career Sunday School class.


Rev. David  Alder

Rev. David Alder, Funeral Assisstant

David serves as a Funeral Assistant. He and his wife Denay have 3 children Rachael, Caleb, and Leah and 3 grandchildren Reeden, Peyton, and Brycen. He is the pastor of Rankin Missionary Baptist Church in Newport.


Bill Helton

Bill Helton, Funeral Assistant

Bill Helton is a funeral assistant at Alder Funeral Home. He retired from Mayfield Dairy Farms after 22 years of service. Bill volunteers at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. In his freetime, Bill loves to farm. He is married to Cindy Helton and they are members of Mosheim Missionary Baptist Church


Robert Carpenter

Robert Carpenter, Funeral Assistant / Chaplain

Robert Carpenter serves as a Funeral Assistant and Chaplain for Alder Funeral Home. Robert has served as Senior Pastor of Lakemoore Church since August 2001. He was ordained as a Bishop in the church in 2006. He graduated in 2007 from Masters International School of Divinity with a Bachelors degree in Pastoral Ministry. Robert is also a certified Chaplain and has been involved in public ministry for over 35 years. He and his wife Elisa have three children, Allen, Rachel, and Jarred and they have two granddaughters Madison, Liliana and one grandson Jamison.


Dillon Wines

Dillon Wines, Funeral Director/Embalmer

Dillon joined the staff in October 2014 as funeral director and embalmer after returning home from working in Nashville for four years. He was born and raised in Newport and is a 2009 graduate of Cocke Co. High School and a December 2010 graduate of John A. Gupton Mortuary College.
