Dale Burton Clough, of White Pine, TN, went home to be with the Keeper of the Stars on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Dale was a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Dale spent the bulk of his adult life in the construction industry including several years owning his own drywall company. Dale was extremely proud of his alma mater Kirtland High School and watched every game he could, always looking to see who was wearing his old number, 40. Dale was a life long Cleveland Sports fan. His love of the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers was only rivaled by his love of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He will be remembered for his passion and his caring. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and just relaxing on the porch watching nature with his faithful dog Soldier at his side. Through all his trial and tribulations he found a way to keep his sense of humor right up to the very end.
He was preceded in death by his father Alan B Clough and his mother Lily Mae Clough both of Kirtland, OH.
Dale is survived by wife and partner of the past 28 years Jo-Anne Clough. He put up with her even though she preferred teams from New England. His Children: Joshua Clough (Jennifer) and Julia Kolschetzky (Kyle). His Step-Children: Joe Simonds (Stacy), Nicole McGrath, Bridget Rainey (Dallas). His Sisters Wanda Clough, Glennda Johnston (Richard), Heidi Williamson (John), Betsy Swindell (Marc), Marion Clough (Moe). His Grandchildren, that he loved to play with: Erick, Lindsey, Taryn, John, Tyler, Katie, Tatum, Reese, Jackson, Louella, Colt, Kyle Jr., Cate Anne and Theodore. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Avery and Carson, as well as countless nieces and nephews.
The service honoring Dale’s memory will be held with full military honors at Mountain Home National Cemetery on December 2, 2019 at 11 AM. In lieu of cards and flowers please feel free to make a donation in his honor to the Gary Sinise Foundation. www.garysinisefoundation.org
