Mr. Dennis Ray Edwards Sr

Dennis R. Edwards, Sr., age 77, of New Market, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, Pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed and loved eternally. He was preceded in death by his father, James Edwards; brother, Jimmy Edwards; grandparents. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Carol Edwards; children, Dennis Edwards, Jr. (Kelly); Luke Edwards; Stacie Edwards (Keith Coates), Michelle Clay (Dean), Sherry Edmonds; grandchildren, Matt Clay (Tayla), Shayne Edwards, Brett Clay (Taylor), Sarah Edwards, Emmie Edwards, Alivia Clay, Addie Edwards, Kate Coates, Caroline Coates; great-grandchildren, Dilyn Clay, Nolan Clay; mother, Irene Edwards; brothers and sisters, Bobby Edwards, Timmy Edwards, Mary Kay Thomas, Sharlette Edwards, Johnny Edwards; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Alder Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
