Donald Ray Dixon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Ray Dixon age 75 of Morristown passed away at his home on Monday June 27, 2022. He was employed with Bell South for 30 years and Corning Cable System for 17 years. Don served in the United States Air Force stationed in Thailand and did a tour in Vietnam. He was discharged from Andrew’s Air Base in Maryland. Preceding him in death were his parents Elijah and Lettie Dixon, his previous wife Carol Anne Dixon, brothers James Dixon of Wise, Virginia, and Allen Dixon of Stafford, Virginia. Don is survived by his wife Suzanne Dixon, Daughter Anissa Davis (Terry) of Bean Station, and her step-daughters Alysha and Caressa Hand, son Bill Dixon (Jennifer) (Jessie and Emily) of Florida, step-daughter Tammy Rimm (Kevin) and their children Samantha and Elizabeth of Dandridge, TN. Step-son Daniel Lusk (Jamie) and their children Zachary, Shelby, Brenden, Chloe, and Aubriana of Woodbury, TN. Sisters Effie Hatton (Charles) of Letcher, Kentucky and Rosemary Dixon of Union, Kentucky, brothers Doug Dixon (Martha) of Letcher Kentucky, and Milton Dixon (Shirley) of St. Paul, Virginia, sisters-in-law Pam and Debbie Dixon. Special cousins Melinda, Judy, Diane, Karen, and Brenda. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-children, and great-grandchildren, and his son Clyde (the dog). Don and his wife are of the Baptist faith and are members of First Baptist Church of Morristown. A special thank you goes to Amedisys Hospice and Fresenius Dialysis Center for their wonderful care during his illness, also thank you to the Veterans administration nurses, and doctors for their special care, and to all the special friends and neighbors for their prayers and help. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date so all family and friends can attend.
