Dorothy Alice Ford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Obituary Dorothy Alice Ford, 84 of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday May 7, 2016. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Clifton Brady and Eva Mae Brady. She was a member of Word of Life Church of God.She is survived by her daughter Kathy (Ford) Lewis and husband Gordon Lewis, two granddaughters Kayla Faith Lewis and Kellie Hope Lewis of Greenville, South Carolina; brothers, William Brady, James Clifton Brady, and Robert Brady; sister, Barbara Golden, all of Talbott; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, loving them all. Mamaw was best known for her generosity, witty spirit, amazing cooking, and love of the Lord. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care for all of their love and kindness. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Alder-Mayes Funeral Home and the funeral follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Travis Bowden and Rev. James McFalls officiating. Family and friends will meet at Hamblen Memory Gardens, Sunday, May 15, 2016 for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service.
