Edith "Dude" Horner

Obituary Edith "Dude" Horner, age 80 of Morristown passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at her home, peacefully. She was a member of Lowland Baptist Church. She worked at Helton's Mkt. and Deli and the Canteen at Lenzing Fiber. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. David F. Horner, son Ricky Horner, parents Luther and Beulah Helton, mother-in law Bea Horner and father-in-law Dave Horner, great grandson Parker, daughter-in-law Patricia Horner, sisters Virginia Gibson, Opal Helton, and brother George E. Helton. Survivors include: sons David Michael Horner, Ray Chris Horner, daughter Jamie ( Terry ) Shipley, grandchildren Chapman Horner, Brandy McGhee, Jean Ann Horner, Chasity Horner, Billy ( Candy ) Shipley, 10 great grandchildren, brothers Joe (Gladys) Helton, Rev. Billy N.( Cindy ) Helton, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Special thanks to Kathy Miller with U.T. Home Health and Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends on Saturday October 15, 2016 11:00am-1:00pm at Lowland Baptist Church with the funeral to follow at 1:00pm, with Rev. Buck Marshall and Rev. Matthew Alder officiating with the interment to follow in the Helton-Horner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
