Obituary Hobart Leon Jenkins, age 90, passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. He was born November 22, 1926 in Harlan Co., KY. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Magna View Baptist Church. Hobart worked 12 years for Southern Pacific Railroad in Houston, TX. He also worked for Monroe County Sheriff's Dept and retired from TVA after 21 years as a Cartographer. Some other jobs included being a carpenter and a small engine repairman. His hobby which was his passion was bass fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward R. and Ellie Kinder Jenkins; sons Roger Leon Jenkins and David Edward Jenkins; brother Edward Harold Jenkins; sisters Wilma Jenkins and Juanita Watkins. Survivors include his son Steven Ross Jenkins of Talbott; 4 grandchildren David (Becky) Jenkins, Patricia (Bo) Ely, Keith Jenkins, Roger (Susan) Jenkins; 6 great-grandchildren Elizabeth Jenkins, Shipe Chiles, Anna Marie Jenkins, Jaise Jenkins, Camden Jenkins, Bella Jenkins; 1 great-great-grandson Nate Jenkins. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Magna View Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN and the family will receive friends following the service until 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Magna View Baptist Church Building Fund or Annie Armstrong Mission Offerings, 1170 Hwy. 11E Talbott, TN 37877.
