Marvin Ray Burke Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marvin Ray Burke, age 58, of Talbott, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022. He was saved at an early age at Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a member of Abundant Hope Ministries and a Lifetime member of the Morristown Rescue Squad after 21 years of service. Marvin was a master mechanic and was an instructor at TCAT in Greeneville. He was a loving husband, son, father, papaw, and friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Carrie Trent, Lewis and Polly Burke; grandson, Lukas Garland. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Debbie Burke; children, Brooke (Wesley) Garland, Mary Burke; parents, Jerry and Linda Burke; grandchildren, Peyton Garland, McKenzie Garland, Joshua Garland; brothers, Tim Burke and Anthony Burke; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2022 at Alder Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Cory Leatherman and Jimmy Peoples officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Morristown Rescue Squad.
