Mary Ellen Ivy

March 28, 1949 - December 15, 2021

Mary Ellen Ivy went to be with Jesus on December 15, 2021. Mary was saved at 18 years of age and is best remembered by her beautiful testimony filled with the power and the spirit of God. She was a joy to be around with a bright light and a twinkle in her eye and contagious laugher that left you feeling full of love and happiness with a sense of selflessness that we will never forget. We lost the most loyal, strong and devoted daughter, mother, nana, friend and supporter of anyone who needed her. She was a faithful follower of Christ and a longtime member of Thankful Baptist Church. Mary will be greeted in heaven by her Father, Edward Harville, Sisters, Barbara Hannah, Ann Smith, Doris Gordon and best friend and sister-in-love, Mary (Tig) Holloway. Mary will be lovingly remembered and treasured by her Mother, Ethel Harville, Son, Eric (Gina) Ivy, Daughter, Jamie (Mike) Rouse, daughter-in-love, Debbie (Jeff) Kramer, Grandchildren, Brady and Demi Rouse, Camilla and Josi Willingham, Great Granddaughter Brooklyn Evans and the most special friend to our family, Tommy Holloway along with a host of nieces, nephews and too many friends to mention. We will remember and honor her on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Warren officiating. Visiting hours are from 3:00-5:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow. Graveside service will be held at Hamblen Memory Gardens on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 am.
