Ronald "Ron" Delano McGuire

Obituary Ronald "Ron" Delano McGuire, age 68, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home. Ron was born in Ashland, TN and at the age of 10 his family moved to Benton, KY. He was saved at The First Baptist Church of Benton, KY at an early age. He was an Army Veteran where he was trained as a Sharp shooter, Paratrooper and also a member of the Electricians Union Local 816 of Paducah, KY in which he was/is held in high regards. Those who knew him will sorely miss his generous heart and witty humor. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Graham and Velva Delong McGuire, brother Charles (Chuck) McGuire and sister Mary Jane McGuire.Survivors include wife of 15 years, Marlin Gibson McGuire; son, Jeffery McGuire of Murray, KY; daughter, Jacqulyn (Stephen) Smith-Williams of Sneedville, TN; grandchildren, Cameron, Hayden, Logan & Sarah all of Sneedville, TN; brother, Michael McGuire of Prestonsburg, KY; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved dearly. A special Thanks to his special friend Richard Lawson and all the many nurses and doctors for the wonderful care they gave him. A memorial service will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Ron's home.
