Obituary Ronald Dean Long, age 73, of Bean Station passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 08, 2016. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Ronnie was an avid sportsman and was a Master Archery Instructor setting up classes and shows across the United States. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared that love by being a mentor to many younger sportsmen. He worked at Cox Sporting Goods, Minor Marina, and Lakeshore Archery sharing his vast knowledge of archery with his many clients and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Kyle and Angie Long; brothers Ed, Eugene, and Bobby Long; son-in-law Ronnie Collins; father-in law and mother-in-law Luther and Harriet Ramsey; brothers-in-law James Ramsey and O.G. Ramsey.He is survived by his wife Ann Long of Bean Station; daughter Tonya Collins of Morristown; grandson Dustin (Caitlan) Wilson of Rutledge; great-grandson Kylor; brothers Andy (Polly) Long, Billy (Juanita) Long, and Kenny (Blanche) Long all of Bean Station; sisters Agnes (Ondis) Brantley, Mable Mays both of Indiana, Shirley Wolfenbarger of Morristown, Diane (Ronnie) Combs of Rutledge and Jamie Bonawitz of Kentucky; sisters-in-law Sue Long, Joan (David) Stalsworth, Bobbie (Jim) Williams, Helen Ramsey; brother-in-law Luther Ramsey.The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Alder-Mayes Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Marcus Long officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Heaths Chapel Cemetery in Bean Station.
