Charlie A. Duty, Sr., age 66 of Morristown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare. He was a long time employee of Old Dominion Freight Lines and the proud owner of C&C Golf Carts; and a member of Midtown Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Duty Barton; father, Billy Howard Duty; brothers, Mikel Duty, Billy Duty, and Dewey Lee Barton, Jr.; step-father, Dewey Lee Barton; and step-brother, Roy Lee Barton.
Survivors include his son, Charlie (Shonda) Duty, Jr; grandchildren, Caitlin Sarah (Mason Swint) Duty and Chuck Duty; great-granddaughter, Parker Rhea Swint; brother, Robert (Jeff Wills) Duty; sister, Brenda (Jeff) Lynn; several nieces, nephews, and companion, Carol Ricamore; and his C&C Golf Cart family, David Cody, Susie Alder, Jason Hurley, Ronnie Rice, and John Gonzales.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Alder Funeral Home and the funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Darrell Alder officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. to proceed to Hamblen Memory Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
