Obituary

Doris Patton, age 87, of White Pine passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at her home. Her and her husband traveled the Southeast to various Bluegrass venues to clog. She’s taught many people the skill of clogging along the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Patton and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Dale (Tina) Patton, Allen (Jeanette) Patton, Virginia (David) Pinkston, Vanessa (Darryl) Hoard; grandchildren, Adam (Buffy) Patton, Brad Patton, Nicklas Pinkston, Sara Pinkston, Eric Hoard; 3 great-grandchildren, Lucas Patton, McKenzie Patton, Hayley Patton; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Alder Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ray Pratt officiating. The family will meet at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services.
