John Albert “Bert” Gardner, Jr., age 89 of Bean Station, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Mary Gardner, Sr.; 2 infant children; a brother and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Ester Gardner; sons, Matthew, Jonathan, Dennis, Paul David, Danny, and Sam; daughters, Dilcie, Rosalee, Phyllis, Nancy, Cathy, and Judy; grandchildren, Shannon, Jeremy, Justin, Cory, Cody, Ryan, Dakota, Anthony, Mark, Nathan, Amber, and James; a host of great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger and Richard; sister, Marty; and special friend, Grover Hunley.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Alder Funeral Home.
