Lucille Mary Malpede, age 91, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, with her children at her side, at Maple Court Senior Living, Powell, Tennessee. Lucille was born on June 21, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, to Epifania and Vincent Salomone and had six siblings, Connie (Phil), Josie (Jake), Jennie (Joe), Tom (Elaine), Joe (Jean), and Marie (Harry), all of whom have preceded her in death. Music, gardening and painting were a large and passionate part of her life. On July 1, 1950, Lucille married the boy next door, William Malpede, the love of her life for 68 years until William’s passing in 2018. Theirs was a strong, enduring and fairy tale marriage. Left to honor Lucille and remember her love are her three children, Lynn Malpede, Donna Saracco (Carm) both residing in Jacksboro, Tennessee, and William V. Malpede residing in Los Angeles, California; her five grandchildren, Karen Larsen (Steve), Richard Hord (Kristia), Michael Saracco (Daniela), Daniel and David Riedel; seven great-grandchildren, Aaron, Kyana, Ryan, Abby, Anthony, Violet, Rocky, and her nieces and nephews.
