Mikel Leon “Caveman” Franks, age 71 of White Pine, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his home. He was a member of Pathways Church. Mikel was preceded in death by his parents, Leita Bell and Carl Franks; brothers, Dean Franks and Carl Franks; father-in-law, Lee Garner, Sr.; uncle, Bob and wife Doris Franks.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Franks; sons, Mikel S. Franks and Mikel Glenn Franks; daughters, Susie Franks, Jennifer (Jerry) Martin, Sarah (Brandon) McGill, and Cassie (Josh) Webb; mother-in-law, Christine Garner; grandchildren, Tristan and Dakota Franks, Kyland, Ezekiel, and Amelia Martin, Samuel, Brayden, and Alizay McGill, Maddison and Brooklyn Webb, Tina Rose Franks, and Dakota James Reeves; great-grandchild, Raelynn Rose Rangler; brother, Joseph Kearns; sister, Judy (Tom) Darnell; very special niece Amanda (Doyl Starkey) Mayberry and children, Emily Mayberry, Hayley Mayberry Woods, Taylor Mayberry, and Mark Starkey. The family would like to thank Chaplain Don, Mike Busler, Booby Philips, Judith Long, Park Hills Softball League, City of Park Hills family and friends, Sonic employee’s on S. Cumberland St. Morristown, and many other special family and friends including several children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
