Milton Francis Murrell age 83 passed away Sunday; June 28th at his home

A lifelong resident of the Alpha community, Milton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was twelve years old. He was a member of Alpha Baptist Church where he previously served as a deacon and trustee.


Milton was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Laura Nell Denham Murrell and his parents Charles Mckinley Murrell and Myra Helen Line Murrell


Miton is survived by his sister; Helen Charles Smith of Arizona

Son; Milton Mckinley Murrell (Laura) and Daugter; Marian Suzette Murrell

Grandchildren: Laura Lenzi Murrell-Noe (Josh), Leslie Anne Murrell-Lakins (Brad) and Cory Lynn Kirk (Hannah)

Great Grandchildren: Mckinley Sue Noe, Braylie Annelynn Lakins, Boone John Alex Lakins and Finlee Jade Kirk * on the way

Niece; Kathy Williams and Nephew; Bill Bauman; Cousins; Laura Studstill, Douglas Murrell, Keith Purkey, Joe Purkey, Alma Gann, Bettis Line, Frannie Line, and Wayne Watkins.

Milton was a Disabled American Veteran having served with the United States Army

After his service with the Army Milton graduated from the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Illinois and upon returning to Alpha was married in 1955. 


Milton worked as an electrician and founded Murrell Electric Shop which would later become Murrell Burglar Alarms in 1963.
